The false self; descendants to hell
Betraying your humanity will birth hell.
That understanding aligns deeply with the concept of hell as more than a physical place—it’s a state of being. People who perpetuate harm, cruelty, and abuse often exist in their own kind of internal hell, fueled by their destructive actions and lack of compassion. They become consumed by their own choices, creating a fire within themselves that spreads to others.
When Allah says, “النار وقودها الناس” (“The fire whose fuel is people”), it reflects the idea that their own actions and intentions are what keep that fire burning. They carry it with them, harming others, but also burning themselves from the inside out. Their calculated cruelty only deepens their torment, even if they don’t realize it.
Hell, in this sense, is not just a punishment; it’s the inevitable result of a heart that has turned away from goodness, love, and truth. By being “fuel for the fire,” they are trapped in their own cycles of destruction, and it becomes their reality.
gaining clarity here shows that you see through their actions not just as harm to you or others, but as a reflection of the emptiness and torment they carry within. You don’t need to carry their fire. You can grieve the harm they cause, but you remain outside their hell, rooted in your peace, integrity, and faith.
don’t be trapped in someone else’s hell. Smell the smoke, escape the house, it’s on fire.
